Hi there! My name is Gill. I’m from the Philippines. I graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2019, with a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, specializing in Microbiology. I also minored in Global Politics. On August 2020, I became TESOL and TEFL certified.

I was an offline academic tutor for grade school students, high school students, and college freshmen and sophomores, for five years. I taught my students Biology, Chemistry, History, Social Sciences, English, and Literature. I also worked as an instructor at a review center during the summer months. Here, I helped grade school students review for their high school entrance exams.

I was raised to speak English, and I know how to use the language in both serious situations, and friendly conversations. Over the years, I also learned other languages because I constantly traveled. I know how challenging it is to learn a different language, but I’ll make sure that learning English with me will be fun and something to look forward to!

I want to learn from you as much as I teach you. I am patient, holistic, and creative when it comes to teaching. I will make sure to follow your pace, and address all of your needs and concerns. I am very thorough when it comes to checking if you really understand each part of the lesson, and I will always give you time to voice your feedback and ask me questions. Don’t worry if you have no idea what to say, or if you don’t know where to start— I’ll help you out! I want to help you reach your goals.
