Part 1

1. crow /kroʊ/
(n.)烏鴉
a large, black bird with a loud, unpleasant cry

2. duck /dʌk/
(n.)鴨子
a bird that lives by water and has webbed feet (= feet with the skin between the toes), a short neck, and a large beak

3. eagle /ˈiː.ɡəl/
(n.)鷹

a large, strong bird with a curved beak that eats meat and can see very well

4. flamingo /fləˈmɪŋ.ɡoʊ/
(n.)紅鸛,火烈鳥
a large bird with pink feathers, long, thin legs, a long neck, and a beak that curves down

5. goose /ɡuːs/
(n.)鵝
a large water bird similar to a duck but larger, or the meat from this bird

6. gull  /ɡʌl/
(n.)海鷗
a bird that lives near the coast with black and white or grey and white feathers

7. hen /hen/
(n.)成年母雞
an adult female chicken often kept for its eggs

8. rooster /ˈruː.stɚ/
(n.)公雞,雄雞

an adult male chicken

I heard a rooster crow.

9. hummingbird /ˈhʌm.ɪŋ.bɝːd/
(n.)蜂鳥
a very small, brightly colored bird with a long, thin beak, whose wings move very fast and make a humming noise

a very large bird from Africa that cannot fly
