Part 1

(n) a doctor who specializes in treating diseases of the heart 

2. Dermatologist /ˌdɝː.məˈtɑː.lə.dʒɪst/
(n) a doctor who studies and treats skin diseases 

3. Gastroenterologist /ˌɡæs.trəʊˌen.təˈrɒl.ə.dʒɪst/
(n) a doctor who specializes in diseases of the digestive system 

4.Neurologist /nʊˈrɑː.lə.dʒɪst/
(n) a doctor who studies and treats diseases of the nerves 

5.Obstetrician /ˌɑːb.stəˈtrɪʃ.ən/ 
(n) a doctor with special training  in how to care for pregnant women and help in the birth of babies 

6. Oncologist /ɑːnˈkɑː.lə.dʒɪst/
(n) a doctor who studies and treats tumours (= masses of cells, as in cancer) in the body

7. Ophthalmologist /ˌɑːf.θælˈmɑː.lə.dʒɪst/
(n) a doctor who treats eye diseases

8. Pediatrician /ˌpiː.di.əˈtrɪʃ.ən/
(n) a doctor with special training in medical care for children 

9. Podiatrist /pəˈdaɪ.ə.trɪst/
(n) a person whose job is to treat problems and diseases of people’s feet

10. Psychiatrist /saɪˈkaɪə.trɪst/
(n) a doctor who is also trained in psychiatry

(n) a person who studies and treats medical conditions of the lungs and respiratory system (= the organs that make it possible for you to breathe)

(n) a doctor skilled in the treatment of women’s diseases, especially those of the reproductive organs

13. Endocrinologist /ˌen.doʊ.krɪˈnɑː.lə.dʒɪst/
(n) a doctor or scientist who specializes in endocrinology

14. Radiologist / ˌreɪ.diˈɑː.lə.dʒɪst /
(n) a person who specializes in radiology
