Part 1
1. box /bɑːks/
(n) pouring the ingredients of a mixed drink into a shaker once (without shaking or stirring the mixture) and then pouring it into a glass to be served
2. build /bɪld/
(v) the act of making a drink ingredient by ingredient in the order that is required by the recipe
3. chill /tʃɪl/
(v) to (cause to) become cold but not freeze
4. dash /dæʃ/
(n) a small amount of something added to or mixed with something else
5. flame /fleɪm/
(n) a stream of hot, burning gas from something on fire
6. float /floʊt/
(v) to (cause to) move easily through, or along the surface of a liquid, or to (cause to) move easily through air
7. frost /frɑːst/
(n) the thin, white layer of ice that forms when the air temperature is below the freezing point of water, especially outside at night
8. garnish /ˈɡɑːr.nɪʃ/
(v) to decorate food with a small amount of different food
9. muddle /ˈmʌd.əl/
(v) to combine ingredients (by mixing or crushing them) in the bottom of a glass usually before adding the rest of the ingredients to finish the drink
10. rim /rɪm/
(n) the outer, often curved or circular, edge of something

11. rinse /rɪns/
(v) coating the inside of an empty glass with a liquid before pouring the main drink into the glass so as to impart the flavor of that liquid into the drink without the liquid overpowering the drink
12. shake /ʃeɪk/
(v) to move backwards and forwards or up and down in quick, short movements, or to make something or someone do this
13. stir /stɝː/
(v) to mix a liquid or other substance by moving an object such as a spoon in a circular pattern
14. strain /streɪn/
(v) to separate liquid food from solid food, especially by pouring it through a utensil with small holes in it
