How to start

1.Tutor will set the time.

Part 1

Answer these questions based on Part 1 of the IELTS Speaking test. This part of the test usually takes 4-5 minutes.

1.How important is it for people to read?
2. Why do you think some people dislike reading? 
3.Would you say that public libraries are still important? Why? Why not? 

Part 2

Complete this task based on Part 2 of the IELTS Speaking test. You have 1 minute to prepare your response and up to 2 minutes to speak. Your tutor will stop you when the time is up.

Describe a place (not your home) where you read and write

You should say:

  • Where it is
  • How often you go there
  • Who you go there with

And explain how you feel about this place

Part 3

Answer these questions based on Part 3 of the IELTS Speaking test. Your teacher will stop asking questions after 5 minutes.

1.What do you think is more important? is more important, reading or writing?

2.Who needs to have good writing skills?

3.Where can people get more information, words or pictures?

4.At what age should children start to read?
