Passive Voice(Affirmative and Negative):The office is cleaned every day.  A form or set of forms of a verb in which the subject undergoes the action of the verb.

Regular verbs

Most verbs have a past tense and past participle with –ed

worked/listened/played

Irregular verbs

But many of the most frequent verbs are irregular:

e.g. began/begun、broke/broken、chose/chosen、built/built、cost/cost

1.Butter is made from milk.

2.Orange are imported into Germany.

3.How often are these rooms cleaned?

4.I am never invited to parties.

5.This house was built 50 years ago.

6.These houses were built 50 years ago.

7.When was the telephone invented?

8.We weren’t invented to the party last week.

9.”Was anybody injured in the accident?”

   “Yes, two people were taken to the hospital.”

Passive Voice + by

1.The telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876.  (=Alexander Graham Bell invented it.)

2.I was bitten by a dog yesterday.

3.Do you like these paintings? They were painted by a friend of mine.
